Abby & Brody
There are some wedding days that stay with you long after they are over.
Abby and Brody travelled all the way from Oklahoma, USA, to celebrate their love among the rolling hills of Chianti, choosing the beautiful Hotel Le Fontanelle as the setting for an intimate Tuscan elopement. No large guest list, no distractions, no expectations. Just the two of them, deeply in love, sharing one of the most important days of their lives together.
From the very beginning, the atmosphere felt special.
We spent the morning together during their preparations, enjoying the peaceful rhythm that only an elopement can offer. There was no rush, only anticipation and excitement. Abby and Brody are two of the kindest people I have ever met. Young, genuine, and completely devoted to one another, they brought a sense of warmth and authenticity that made every moment feel effortless.
Their ceremony was incredibly intimate and emotional.
Surrounded by the breathtaking Tuscan countryside, they exchanged personal vows that moved everyone present. The celebrant crafted a ceremony that perfectly reflected their story, creating a space where every word felt meaningful and sincere. It was one of those rare moments where time seems to slow down, allowing you to fully appreciate the connection between two people.
After the ceremony, we explored the grounds around Hotel Le Fontanelle, capturing photographs and video among the vineyards, olive trees, and endless views of the Chianti hills. Tuscany has a unique ability to transform even the simplest moments into something cinematic.
Later, we made our way to the extraordinary Certosa di Pontignano, one of the hidden gems of the region. The light that afternoon was simply magical. Warm, soft, and golden, it wrapped around Abby and Brody as they wandered through the historic cloisters and gardens. It was the kind of light every photographer and filmmaker dreams of.
As the sun began to set, we returned to Hotel Le Fontanelle for their private dinner.
After a heartfelt first toast, it felt right to step away and leave them alone to enjoy the evening together. The day had always been about them, and ending it in complete intimacy felt perfectly aligned with the spirit of their elopement.
For Abby and Brody, I created a twelve-minute wedding film that tells the story of their day through a blend of candid moments, personal vows, short interviews, and excerpts from the ceremony. More than a wedding video, it became a portrait of who they are as a couple: joyful, thoughtful, adventurous, and deeply connected.
Their Tuscany elopement was a beautiful reminder that weddings do not need to be large to be meaningful. Sometimes, all you need is the person you love, a place that inspires you, and the courage to create a day that feels completely your own.
Abby and Brody, thank you for trusting me to tell your story. It was an honour to spend this incredible day with you.
