Sous l’éclat des silences
A symbolic union at Masseria Amastuola
Isaure and Jeromine live in Clichy, just outside Paris, but it was in Puglia that they found the space and the light to say “yes.” They discovered me on Instagram in September 2024. Their message was filled with warmth and clarity, and they told me how deeply they had fallen in love with my films. From that moment, we began an intense and thoughtful journey together, made of honest exchanges, shared visions, and mutual trust.
When they told me they had chosen Masseria Amastuola for their wedding, I immediately knew this would be something truly special. They wanted a symbolic ceremony, something deep and intimate. The masseria, perched on a hilltop with sweeping views across the Taranto plain, felt like it was made for a story like theirs.
Every detail was masterfully brought to life by Enzo Melchiorre, a wedding planner with an elegant and precise vision, always present but never intrusive. He translated their idea of love into a real and graceful celebration, marked by poetry and authenticity.
The ceremony itself was something unique. A solemn and symbolic text guided each moment, telling the story of a new world being born, drawing from ancient myths and timeless archetypes.
Isaure was described as a radiant figure, “sublime in a flash,” the heir of a noble, almost divine lineage. Jeromine joined her “in a bold whirlwind,” as if to forge together something that had never existed before. Their love, told as an alliance between extraordinary beings, rekindled the flame of an ancient motto: Fortune favors the bold.
And Isaure and Jeromine truly were bold, in the most beautiful way. They chose to love each other openly, deeply, without ever asking for permission. Their vows were intense and sincere, filled with respect, trust, and gratitude. Nothing felt exaggerated, yet everything carried enormous emotional weight. Their words spoke of everyday choices, of listening, of growing together. They were light, but eternal.
Amid evocative words, deep silences, and eyes searching for one another with no need for words, their love took form in front of the people closest to them. Friends and family had traveled from France to witness this moment, to be part of a new beginning. Northern and Southern worlds met here, Paris and Taranto, Clichy and Crispiano.
The title of the film came naturally: Sous l’éclat des silences, Beneath the glow of silences. Because sometimes it is in silence that love reveals itself most powerfully. Isaure and Jeromine chose Puglia for its light, but also for what it represents: an ancient, fertile, resilient land, capable of embracing every story without judgment.
And so, under that blue sky and among the elegant geometry of olive trees, their own new civilization was born. A world made of freedom, tenderness, and courage.
For me, telling their story was a profound honor.
