When Xavier reached out to me in secret, planning everything from the subtle glint of a ring to the perfect Italian setting, I knew this shoot would be something extraordinary. Jessie and Xavier flew in from Sydney the very same day, eager to unwind, and arrived at the enchanting Masseria LiLei in Lizzanello around golden hour.

Discovering Masseria LiLei


Nestled just a few kilometers from Lecce, Masseria LiLei is a stunning 15th-century fortified farmhouse surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, and ancient oak trees. The estate covers around 90 hectares and offers a blend of rustic charm and refined comfort. It features an infinity pool, a spa with sauna and emotional shower, a fitness area, and even its own winery. The atmosphere is peaceful and intimate, with local organic food and thoughtful hospitality adding a special touch to every stay.

A Day to Remember


After arriving, Jessie and Xavier took a swim in the pool, enjoying the quiet countryside before what would become one of the most unforgettable moments of their lives. What Jessie didn’t know was that Xavier had planned a surprise proposal. While she was getting ready, he slipped away to the old courtyard "the aia" where a romantic dinner had been set up just for them.

As Jessie walked into the courtyard and saw Xavier waiting, the emotion was immediate. He got down on one knee, and the surprise turned into joy, laughter, and a few tears. I had the privilege of witnessing and capturing this raw and beautiful moment, full of tenderness and light.
